FC Barcelona scored a tough 7-0 win in Valladolid. The Catalan club thus consolidated its position as leader of the Spanish championship.

This Saturday afternoon,
FC Barcelona hosted Valladolid on the occasion of the fourth day of La Liga. In the twentieth minute of play, the Catalans opened the scoring thanks to Raphinha. The Brazilian international deceived Hein with an outside of the left foot, at ground level (1-0, 20th).

A few moments later, Lewandowski made the break. The Polish striker controlled the ball in the area before adjusting the Estonian goalkeeper on the ground, with his left foot (2-0, 24th). Just before half-time, Koundé made the score a little worse. Following a corner from Raphinha, the French international scored with a tackle from the penalty spot (3-0, 45th+2).

In the second half, Hans-Dieter Flick’s men did not let up the pressure. Raphinha took advantage to score his second goal of the evening, in the empty Valladolid goal (4-0, 64th). The former Stade Rennais player did not stop there and scored a hat-trick, with his left foot (5-0, 72nd). Olmo (6-0, 82nd) ​​and Torres (7-0, 85th) put their visitors’ heads under water even more.

Thanks to this very large victory, Barça consolidates its place as leader in La Liga. The Blaugrana club now has twelve points, five lengths ahead of Villarreal, who will play this Saturday evening at 9:30 p.m. on the pitch of Valencia. The great rival Madrid, who is having an average start to the season, will host Betis on Sunday evening at the same time.
