Hit in the head on Saturday evening against Clermont (1-1), Nordi Mukiele is forced to withdraw from the quarter-final of the Champions League between PSG and FC Barcelona.

Nordi Mukiele definitely lost big in this clash with the Clermont goalkeeper, Saturday evening at the Parc des Princes. The former Montpellier player had to leave the field after only 13 minutes, to his great dismay, he who in 2024 is only entitled to one start each month. And the bad news fell this Monday: Mukiele is also out of the clash against Barcelona on Wednesday evening in the Champions League.

According to L'Equipe and RMC, the former Leipzig player underwent additional examinations this Monday with a specialist neurologist. He will have to be left to rest during this European week.

Zaire-Emery and Barcola in training

This is a tile for Mukiele, who was applying for a starting place on the right of defense with the suspension of Achraf Hakimi. In this position, Warren Zaire-Emery could be used. The young midfielder trained normally this Monday, after being spared against Clermont.

Finally, Bradley Barcola also participated in the entire session of the day at the PSG training center. Hit in the thigh three weeks ago with the Espoirs, the former Lyonnais should be in the group against Barça, but it is unlikely that he will be able to be lined up as a starter.
