Paris Saint-Germain won the Champions Trophy this Wednesday evening, after their victory over Toulouse (2-0).
The year 2024 is off to a promising start for Paris Saint-Germain. Opposing this Wednesday evening in Toulouse, at the Parc des Princes, Luis Enrique’s men won without forcing 2-0, winning the Champions Trophy at the same time for the twelfth time in its history.
Very largely dominating, the Parisians did the hard part by opening the score at the very start of the game through Kang-in Lee (1-0, 3rd). The Violets could have equalized on a strike from Dallinga (37th), pushed back by Donnarumma on the post, but it was ultimately Mbappé who made the break for the Rouge et Bleu before the break with a little gem (2- 0.44th).
Upon returning from the locker room, Toulouse had a few opportunities to get back into the match, in vain. Hakimi touched wood (56th), before seeing his team calmly manage this result. Note the injury to Skriniar, replaced by new recruit Beraldo, acclaimed by the Park with each of his touches of the ball.
