The French left-back shone during AC Milan’s quiet victory against Cagliari (4-1) in the Italian Cup.
AC Milan did not tremble to defeat Cagliari (4-1) this Tuesday evening in the round of 16 of the Italian Cup, and the Rossoneri owe it to Theo Hernandez.
The left back of the France team was one of the rare executives aligned by Stefano Pioli, who had rotated (Mike Maignan and Olivier Giroud remained on the bench, Yacine Adli started). And the former Real Madrid player produced a first class performance, with two assists for Luka Jovic.
A fantastic rush
Theo Hernandez first delivered a very good cross for his Serbian attacker (29th). Then the French international signed a rush of which he has the secret, by shifting Jovic after a race of more than 60 meters with the ball (40th).
The MAGNIFICENT BREAKTHROUGH from Théo Hernandez on his left side which offers a 2nd assist for Luka Jović’s double! 🚀

In the second half, AC Milan hit the nail on the head with a goal from young Chaka Traoré (50th), and the first goal in almost two months from Rafael Leao (90th+1), who came on during the game. Cagliari had reduced the mark by Paulo Azzi (88th).
AC Milan continues its journey in this Italian Cup, and will continue on Sunday in Serie A with a trip to the Empoli pitch (12:30 p.m.).
