Targeted by Arsenal at the start of the transfer window, Jérémy Jacquet preferred to make another choice for his future. The young central defender of Stade Rennais, 20 years old, declined the approach of the Gunners, seduced by the International French Hopes, who played 11 Ligue 1 games for the 2024-2025 season.

The London club wanted to enlist a new talent for the future to strengthen its hinge, but Jérémy Jacquet preferred to decline. And to avoid a new approach this summer, the Rennes were quick to secure their jewel by offering it a contract extension, now binding it until 2029 with the Breton club. The Frenchman still remains a very coveted element.
