A big boss of PSG since the acquisition in the mid -year 2011, Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) is on the way to becoming a majority shareholder of a new club. Indeed, according to Newsnegotiations are put forward for the acquisition of the Malaga club, currently in the Spanish second division. We would speak of a transaction up to 100 million euros, a buyout that would save the club from the receivership it faces.

Quarter finalist in the Champions League in 2013, Malaga finally went down to the second division in 2018, then relegated administratively to the third division a few years later. Returning to the antechamber of the elite, the club occupies 15th place in the ranking, with only seven points ahead of the red zone. An investment which therefore arrives a few weeks after Nasser Al-Khelaifi declared that he wanted to go to “More welcoming environments” that France to invest.
