AS Roma: Claudio Ranieri confirms his retirement at the end of the season

His arrival on the AS Roma bench was surprising last November after the failures of Daniele De Rossi and Ivan Juric. Finally, Claudio Ranieri has had a rather decent mandate with the Giallorossi for the moment. After a very interesting month of December, Leandro Paredes' teammates had a perfect start to the year with a victory against Lazio in the Rome derby (2-0). Asked by RAI Sportthe 73-year-old coach explained that he was going to retire at the end of the season: “At the end of the season I will stop coaching, it's time to say stop. The club will be looking for a new coach capable of taking the team into the elite of Italian and European football.» It now remains to be seen who will be chosen.
