Tunisia qualified for the 2026 World Cup

While we were heading for a draw and a virgin, Tunisia managed to win in Equatorial Guinea on Monday, validating its ticket for the World Cup. This for the seventh time in its history after the 1978, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2018 and 2022 editions.

Thanks to a goal from Ben Romdhane in additional time (90e+4), the Carthage Eagles won 0-1, signing a fourth success of rank in this qualification campaign. With the key the first place of their guaranteed group.

In the Africa zone, Tunisia thus joins Morocco among the nations out of the playoffs and expected next summer in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Or two out of nine qualified as possible on a continent scale.

18 qualified out of 48 known

At this hour, the Asia area (supplemented by Australia) has six qualified in eight: Japan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Jordan, South Korea and Australia. The Oceania area has already delivered its verdict with qualified New Zealand and New Caledonia assured to compete in intercontinental dams.

The six elected officials in the South America area are also known (a seventh qualified potential via the intercontinental dams may be designated). Namely Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Ecuador, Colombia and Paraguay. Recall that the three organizing countries aroused complete a table of 18 qualified out of 48 nations to date identified.
