Olympique de Marseille’s start to the season was praised by Daniel Riolo, who was totally won over by Roberto De Zerbi’s team.

By snatching a victory on the gong, ten against eleven, on Sunday evening, in the Olympico against its rival Lyon (3-2), theMarseille Olympics has achieved a major performance. Roberto De Zerbi’s team is holding on to the pace of Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco.

To the point of actually considering a three-way race for the title of French champion? That is Daniel Riolo’s wish.
“I hope we have three teams playing for the title. You always have to stay measured, at OM, things get carried away very quickly. From what I see, there is reason to be very optimistic,” enthused the RMC journalist.

“OM sent another message”

Riolo is full of praise for OM. “The midfield that OM has built this year… Given the reservations that we will have about PSG – and everyone is waiting for October 27 to see the confrontation between the two teams,” continued the journalist.

“OM sent another message. OM fills the mailbox every week and says: ‘we will be there’. Rongier will join this team and even if Wahi is inside, there will be guys to play up front. If even the ‘tricards’ regain confidence like Ulisses Garcia, Pol Lirola… There is also Rongier who I will never change my mind about, he is a 100% reliable guy, he is in the game in the madness at the end of the match, look what he did. Højbjerg, he is the boss”concluded Riolo, as impressed by the Marseille collective as by its individualities.
