At the start of the season, FC Barcelona is establishing itself as one – if not the best – of the best teams in Europe. With eight victories in as many matches in the league, the Blaugrana are in the lead with 6 points ahead of Real Madrid. In the Champions League, they easily won their only match against Feyenoord (5-1). A total record of nine victories in nine matches and 39 goals scored.
“The best football in Europe”
As the Catalans face Galatasaray this Tuesday, President Joan Laporta was full of praise for his team. “I think we play the best football in Europe and, therefore, the best in the world”he assured in comments relayed by
Marca.
If he believes that Barça is the best team in the world, the club president is aware of the striking force of other teams, starting with Paris Saint-Germain. “ Other teams which are also performing very well, such as PSG or Bayern Munich, are candidates for victory in the competitions in which we participate. And there is always a team that creates a surprise, we must take that into account. But in terms of footballing quality, I think that, let’s say, for the moment, we are the ones who are playing the best. And what’s more, we play better and we put on a great show. This allows the supporters, and above all, of course, our fans, to have a good time. Our game is entertaining, I like that”he added.
