Former England international Joey Barton is at war with football consultants.
Joey Barton, the former Manchester City and Olympique de Marseille player, is known for his outspokenness and his lack of filter. He recently decided to take on female football consultants, including Eni Aluko and Lucy Ward. The bad-boy notably compared these two women to Fred and Rose West, a couple of British serial killers.

Despite the criticism, Barton does not intend to remain silent. He posted a message on Twitter in which he described himself as a “black sheep” and a “lone wolf”. He says he doesn’t need the money or influence of his critics.
“They attack the messenger and never the message. Few failed footballers, failed managers, criminals, convicts, violent thugs receive such publicity, he said. I am that black sheep. This lone wolf. The one who doesn’t need your money, your influence, the one who isn’t afraid of you, who you can’t erase. You will have to kill me. »
And added: “I’m a week into the new year and I have all of you, the woke, the anti-racists, the gender defenders, the Covid ones on a fucking toast. Keep watching and dancing to my beat, you idiots. »
It remains to be seen whether the Huyton native’s comments will cost him his place in the media.
