The highly coveted Stade de Reims coach is one of Sunderland’s targets.

He is one of the coaches who are rising in Ligue 1, and even in Europe. Appointed last season at the head of Stade de Reims, Will Still has established himself among the coaches to follow. The 31-year-old Belgian technician started last season with a series of 17 matches without defeat, and he confirmed this during the current year with a fifth place for Reims after 14 days of the championship.

With this excellent record, Will Still caught the eye of Sunderland. The English club, 9th in the Championship, is looking for a new coach after the ousting of Tom Mowbray. And the Reims coach would really please a certain Kyril Louis-Dreyfus, owner of the Black Cats.

At the end of last season, Will Still had already been asked about the possibility of training in the English second division. “Vincent Kompany was at Anderlecht last year, he arrived in the Championship and did an incredible job (with Burnley, editor’s note). I think the Championship rivals many of the best leagues in the world. All doors are open. I don’t close anything at any time,” he replied.
