Real Madrid: Carlo Ancelotti hopes to have Ferland Mendy in C1

At a press conference before hosting Real Sociedad this Sunday evening as part of the fifth day of La Liga, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti gave news of his group, and in particular of his Frenchman Ferland Mendy. Injured during the preseason against FC Barcelona in the United States, the French left-back (9 selections) did not participate in the flawless performance of the White House in the championship, winner of 4 matches in as many days, due to of a muscle lesion of the right biceps femoris.

If he will not be able to count on the former Lyonnais for the reception of the Basque team, also undefeated in La Liga with a small success and three draws, the 64-year-old transalpine technician nevertheless hopes to be able to count on him for the reception of Union Berlin for its entry into the 2023-2024 edition of the Champions League: “Mendy is not in the group. He must stick to his (rehabilitation) plan. We have to bring him in when he is 100% ready and I think he will be in the squad for Wednesday.”
