While Real Madrid is going through a season considered disappointing and speculation around Arbeloa’s future on the bench is increasing, the name of José Mourinho comes back insistently among the options discussed internally. Questioned about this hypothesis during his intervention on set, Guti however tempered the enthusiasm around a possible return of the Portuguese technician.
The former Madrid midfielder felt that this scenario no longer corresponded to the current context of the club, recalling that Mourinho is, according to him, no longer in his best period. “Mourinho is a great coach, but I think he is no longer at his peak, in the sense that he comes from Fenerbahçe, he took the reins of Benfica at a very bad time, and I think there are coaches in better shape than Mourinho or that I would recruit”he underlined at the microphone of DAZN.
