Victim of a strained hamstring in his left leg, Kylian Mbappé will undergo new examinations on Monday at Real Madrid.

If it wasn’t the panic at the time of his premature exit Friday evening, in the 81st minute of the match between Real Betis and his team Real Madrid (1-1), Kylian Mbappé suddenly worried. Whether it was the Madrid supporters or those of the France team, a certain excitement was then felt. The medical diagnosis has provided some reassurance, but further examinations are expected.

According to Marca, the strained hamstring in Kylian Mbappé’s left leg did not cause alarm within Real. However, the Spanish media confirmed that the club’s doctors have not finished with the subject and that an appointment was given on Monday morning to the international tricolor in order to have an MRI.

The aim is to ensure that the diagnosis made is the correct one and that no other potentially more serious problem has been overlooked. Top scorer for his team in La Liga this season (twenty-four goals), the former PSG player remains uncertain as to the duration of his unavailability. The exams at the start of the coming week will say more.

Kylian Mbappé, World goal

If he has nothing left to hope for between now and the end of the season with his club, Kylian Mbappé does however have a major objective ahead of him with the 2026 World Cup. While Didier Deschamps will announce his list on May 14, the captain of the Blues hopes to be at 100% of his abilities by the time he leaves for the United States.

Eder Militao, however, is not at all sure about making this trip. Injured earlier in the week, the Brazilian defender suffered a biceps femoris injury and is currently considering surgery. If he played pool, he would miss the World Cup. Another solution exists, but with a much higher risk of bad relapse.
