In an interview with La Stampaformer Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon was asked to analyze Thiago Motta’s debut on the Juventus bench. After an interesting transfer window, the Bianconeri are still undefeated but are in 6th place in the Italian championship due to multiple draws. Despite everything, the Nazionale legend has confidence and does not want to see his former club get lost in futile comparisons with Massimiliano Allegri:
“I have great respect for Thiago Motta and I am very confident in what he is building. When you work so deeply, it takes time. Motta is a meticulous coach, well prepared, used to certain levels: I know him as a teammate, they must give him a helping hand. Let’s stop joking about this: enough of the comparisons between Motta and Allegri. We have gained a lot, Thiago is only just starting, those who compare them are motivated by the desire to annoy the environment“.
