OM players are struggling to manage the pressure at the Vélodrome, according to former Marseille player Samir Nasri. After the home defeat against Auxerre (1-3), Nasri analyzed the difficulties of the Marseille team by evoking an overwhelming pressure which prevents the players from breaking free. “When they play at the Vélodrome, the players are overwhelmed by pressure,” he told Canal Football Club, describing a club that works “upside down”.

Constant instability off the field

Nasri also pointed out the organizational instability of OM, recalling the recurring tensions behind the scenes. “There is always, at a given moment, a general manager or someone other than the athlete who sows a little discord,” he added, emphasizing that this dynamic impacts performance. Currently third in Ligue 1, OM are preparing for a major test against Monaco at the Vélodrome on December 1, a match which could redefine the balance within the club.
