FC Barcelona's engineers and architects had given Limak a score of less than 50 out of 100, criticizing the lack of realistic justification for the proposed schedule, deemed ” vague and insufficient “. But two days later, the leaders revised their position and placed Limak in the lead, with 74 points.
The promised speed – return to Camp Nou from November 2024 and full completion in July 2026 – was decisive, although contested by some members of the project. However, more than two years after the start of the work, none of the announced deadlines have been respected. FC Barcelona had to extend its exile in Montjuic until November 2025, at least, since it still does not have the necessary licenses to partially reopen its historic enclosure.
