Jose Mourinho had a heated argument with Napoli stars Kvicha Kvaratskhelia and Victor Osimhen before the Nigerian was sent off.
AS Roma secured a crucial Serie A victory on Saturday, beating defending champions Napoli 2-0 thanks to goals from Lorenzo Pellegrini and Romelu Lukaku. The hotly contested match saw two Napoli players – Matteo Politano and Osimhen – sent off in the second half, as the defending champions were reduced to nine men towards the end of the match.
Mourinho also argued with Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia on the touchline during the match. The Portuguese was seen shouting at Kvaratskhelia as the veteran demanded respect from the young player.
Napoli have conceded six goals in their last two appearances in all competitions and find themselves in seventh place in the league with 27 points from 17 matches. Roma, on the other hand, are now sixth after their victory on Saturday. Under Mourinho’s leadership, Roma came back strong after losing 2-0 to Bologna last week. They will try to achieve another victory against Juventus on December 30.
