Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane has revealed the toughest defenders he has faced during his career, including a Chelsea legend.
Over the past ten years, Kane has been one of the best strikers and goalscorers in world football, consistently putting in outstanding performances for club and country. The England striker left Tottenham, where he spent his formative years, this summer to join Bayern Munich permanently. In an interview given to ESPNthe Bayern Munich ace named his Euro 2020 opponent Giorgio Chiellini and Chelsea great John Terry as two of his toughest opponents to date.
“ Toughest defenders I’ve faced? Yes, I played against John Terry early in my career and saw why he is one of the best defenders in the world. He is very intelligent. And then, Chiellini against Italy, against Juve. He was really tough to play against, again very smart, he used his body well, he was strong, he was good in the air, so I’ll probably pick those two. »
Chelsea legend Terry is rightly regarded as one of the greatest defenders in Premier League history. As for Chiellini, who plays for LAFC, he is considered one of the smartest and most physically dominant defenders in soccer history.
