Mason Greenwood will see more than half of his salary covered by Manchester United, reports Fabrizio Romano.

The striker joined La Liga club Getafe on loan in a late-window transfer.

The details of this transfer have been revealed by journalist Fabrizio Romano, who indicates that Manchester United will pay more than 50% of the player’s salary.

The striker has two more years on his contract at Old Trafford, earning him £75,000 a week, and Man Utd are expected to cover over 50% of that sum. When he returns to Man Utd in 2024, he will only have one year left on his contract.

Indeed, the Premier League club will continue to bear a significant percentage of the salary. Several clubs in Europe and the Middle East, such as Roma and Al-Ettifaq, have shown interest in the player.

It is believed that both Lazio and Besiktas had hopes of getting the striker but he eventually left for Spain.
