Manchester United are reportedly close to signing Jean-Clair Todibo from OGC Nice in a €40m deal.
The Team reports that United are closing in on signing the centre-back and continue to strengthen Erik ten Hag’s squad. The defender’s move to the club is said to be ‘in sight’ even though Harry Maguire is yet to leave the club.
The Nice defender had been touted as Maguire’s potential replacement but the England defender’s move to West Ham fell through at the start of the summer. Nevertheless, it looks like the club are continuing their efforts to bring in Todibo.
United are also reportedly interested in Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard, but the latter is set to join Inter Milan. The club therefore sent scouts to observe Todibo in action against Lille on the opening weekend of Ligue 1.
