Dugarry lets loose on Rabiot!

Christophe Dugarry reacted to the signing of Adrien Rabiot at Olympique de Marseille. The 1998 world champion is absolutely won over by this choice.

The two camps are opposed. Did Adrien Rabiot betray his training club, Paris Saint-Germain, by joining Olympique de Marseille? Or in this modern football, can the French international free himself from this kind of consideration? A not entirely neutral spectator, since he played at OM, Christophe Dugarry has chosen his camp.

“I love Adrien Rabiot, launched the 1998 world champion this Tuesday on RMC. Adrien Rabiot, he’s my idol! But what freedom this boy has! The freedom to do what he wants, the boy.”

“So what?”

For Dugarry, Rabiot let himself be guided by his
“freedom to act”and he is right.
“It’s not in the dictates: you have the Paris jersey, you don’t have the right to have the OM jersey.” And while some see a regression or a disavowal in this transfer to a club that is not playing in Europe this season, Dugarry responds: “Star in the French team, captain at Juventus. (…) The guy is having an exceptional career.”

The opinion of the RMC consultant is quite clear: Rabiot can do what he wants, his Parisian past does not oblige him to anything. You wanted to share something with OM, even if you were born in Paris (in the Paris region, editor’s note), even if you were able to support PSG for a while, even if you wore their jersey. So what? Is it forbidden to like another team, another club?
