Three victories, one draw: the results of the Blues for the great first of Zinedine Zidane in his coach’s costume was successful to say the least. The former midfielder had, however, decided to mark a real break with his predecessor on the French bench with a tactical change, a new philosophy and several new faces.
No less than seven new players were called up and six made their debut in blue: Guillaume Restes in goals, Lenny Yoro, Jérémy Jacquet and Andy Diouf in defense, Lucas Da Cunha in midfield and Esteban Lepaul in attack.
And if the first five were generally satisfactory, with a special mention for Jérémy Jacquet and Lucas Da Cunha, the Rennes striker was much less convincing during his two starts against Belgium. So much so that many observers consider that the international costume is too big for the Breton player.
“He deserves it”
But a little further west in Brittany, this new wind blowing among the Blues gives ideas. Julien Lachuer thus campaigned in favor of his attacker, Ludovic Ajorque. The Breton player, author of the opening score from the 9the minute, delivered an XXL performance against Angers, weighing on the Angers defense and delivering a real recital in the pivot.
“I heard that the coach wanted to have a boy who has presence in the box. If he was in front of his TV… I will campaign to have Ludo Ajorque in the French team. In any case, he deserves it,” thus entrusted the former Auxerrois to the microphone of Ligue 1+.
