Real Madrid’s starting goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois had a special 2023/2024 season. Long injured and returning at the end of the season, the Belgian goalkeeper shone in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund (2-0). However, in the absence of the Belgian goalkeeper, Andriy Lunin did not disgrace himself. The 25-year-old Ukrainian goalkeeper had put in some great performances, but it was not enough to get the better of Thibaut Courtois.
Questioned by the club’s media, the Belgian goalkeeper also gave his opinion on the future of Andriy Lunin who is announced as a possible departure: “Everyone has to choose what they consider best for themselves. It’s not up to me to decide for him. He played a lot last season and wants to continue to be on the pitch. Everyone has to decide for themselves.
