Saudi Arabia is not ready to stop its raid on the European continent to strengthen its national championship, the Saudi Pro League. Witness the many arrivals from European clubs, such as Karim Benzema, Marcelo Brozovic, or even recently Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. And it is not only the actors of the green rectangle who are concerned, since the Kingdom is also interested in coaches, with in particular the signing of English coach Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq.

The former Reds star isn’t the only Liverpool-linked football player to catch the Kingdom’s eye: Sky Sports informs that the Brazilian midfielder Fabinho has in turn appeared on the shelves of Al-Ittihad. The Jeddah-based outfit, winners of the SPL last season ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr, have already drawn up a first offer above 40 million pounds sterling (a little more than of 45 million euros) for the 29-year-old player. And it shouldn’t stop there…

Indeed, according to our information, the international auriverde (29 selections) has accepted the offer of the reigning Saudi Arabian champion, but is still awaiting an agreement between the latter and Liverpool FC in order to complete his transfer, negotiations being progress between the two parties. If there is an agreement, the former AS Monaco will sign a three-year contract with the club in the west of the country. He will not really be out of place since other players from the Old Continent have already joined Al-Ittihad, such as Karim Benzema (ex-Real Madrid), N’Golo Kanté (ex-Chelsea) and Jota (ex-Celtic).

The Brazilian midfielder will therefore end his European adventure with a sixth place with the Mersey club in the Premier League, thus missing out on qualification for the Champions League. In total, Fabinho will have played no less than 219 games in all competitions, for 11 goals and 10 assists. He will have fleshed out his personal trophy room as he crossed the Channel, winning the Premier League in 2020 and a Champions League in 2019, in addition to an FA Cup, League Cup, Community Shield and European Super Cup. .
