After a very successful stint at Bologna this season under Thiago Motta, Joshua Zirkzee’s future seemed promising at AC Milan. For many weeks, his name has been associated with the Rossoneri club. The 23-year-old striker, called up at the last moment for selection for the Euro with the Netherlands, was to take over from Olivier Giroud. However, the transfer was delayed due to commissions to the player’s agents being too high (15 million euros, which would be added to the 40 million euros of his release clause).

In view of the situation, Manchester United are closely monitoring the matter. According to Sky Sports, the Red Devils also want to secure the services of the Dutchman. Now we need to know if the English club is inclined to pay the costs linked to commissions, which Milan refuses to pay.
