Currently 11th in the Bundesliga, Eintracht Frankfurt is going through a turbulent period and has just experienced a major change in its organization. Sports director Markus Krösche, in office since the summer of 2021, asked to be immediately relieved of his duties after more than five years at the club. Despite this turbulence, Krösche leaves behind a record marked in particular by the victory in the Europa League in 2022, one of the great successes in Frankfurt’s recent history.
In a press release, the club made this decision official: “the supervisory board of Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG has granted the request for the immediate resignation of sports director Markus Krösche. His contract, which runs until June 30, 2028, is maintained in an adapted form. We thank Markus Krösche for his commitment and success over the past years and wish him all the best for the future.” Now free from his duties, Krösche could attract the interest of several European clubs, while AC Milan would follow his profile in particular.
