The day after the victory brought back from Strasbourg (1-3), there is no question of resting for Paris Saint-Germain, and especially for the club’s medical staff. We must prepare for the shock against FC Barcelona on Tuesday evening in the Champions League.
On Saturday, two Luis Enrique players finished the match with injuries. They are Nuno Mendes, injured in the thigh, and Maghnes Akliouche, who suffers from an ankle injury after a rough tackle from a Strasbourg defender.
Both players were scheduled to take exams this Sunday, late morning, at the PSG Campus. The first echoes are starting to come out, and they are not very good. A package for Barça-PSG is thus being confirmed.
Nuno Mendes will not be there against Lamine Yamal
According to Le Parisien, the news is not good for Nuno Mendes. As feared, the Portuguese full-back suffers from a muscle injury in his thigh which should lead him to withdraw from Tuesday’s match against FC Barcelona. It would be a huge blow for PSG, who would lose their “antidote” to Lamine Yamal.
PSG should give news of its two players this Sunday, or possibly Monday, in its traditional medical update. For the moment, nothing has filtered out regarding the condition of Maghnes Akliouche’s ankle, for whom the trend was not very good after Strasbourg.
