Paris wants Leny Yoro, but Liverpool have entered the race in recent weeks.
Real Madrid intend to sign a new central defender over the next 12-15 months, and their main target is Lille’s Leny Yoro. The 18-year-old is considered one of the best young defenders in Europe and has been compared to former Whites favorite Raphaël Varane.
However, a deal for this summer seems unlikely due to Lille’s asking price, which is said to be in the region of €60 million. Since Yoro only has one year left on his contract, Real Madrid are not willing to pay such a high amount and are therefore waiting until 2025.
Liverpool and PSG want Yoro
The problem is that other clubs are interested in Yoro. Paris Saint-Germain are already interested, and Le Parisien reports that Liverpool have entered the race in recent weeks.
If Real Madrid are drawn into a battle for Yoro’s signature, they will be confident of securing his services, given his drawing power. However, Florentino Perez will not want to overpay, which makes the situation tricky.
