What if this was a way to kick off this Champions League semi-final? 4 days before the first leg at Signal Iduna Park, a first conflict is emerging between Borussia Dortmund and PSG. We knew the supporters of the German club were particularly angry with the Parisian institution, of which they made a regular target with their banners, accusing it of being a “state club”. This time, it is the management of the BvB which attacks its French counterpart.

This directly concerns this highly anticipated double confrontation in C1, and especially the return match at the Parc des Princes. According to information from Bild, PSG restricted the quota of places allocated to the visiting club. Instead of 5% of the stadium’s total capacity, the capital club reduced this gauge to 4%. He mainly cites security reasons. This limitation still represents 500 fewer tickets intended for German fans.

Borussia plans to file complaint with UEFA

In addition to this, the price of places is criticized because it is considered very expensive. Dortmund fan groups have alerted BvB officials of this situation. Negotiations have already taken place and are continuing between the decision-makers of the two clubs, but for the moment, the Ile-de-France residents have always resisted. In the past, PSG has regularly used this measure. It is easy to practice and most of the time receives the approval of the French authorities.

According to the German media, the chances of reaching an agreement are very low. The matter could end there but Borussia Dortmund is determined to counterattack. The current 5th in the Bundesliga reserves the right to file a complaint with UEFA if no agreement is reached. The BvB is all the more frustrated as it is preparing to receive a contingent of 4,000 Parisian fans on Wednesday, including 1,500 members of the CUP, who paid 18.50 euros for their place… The match is on.
