During a press conference at the start of the week, Pablo Longoria did not fail to put pressure on his player. “For Pape Gueye, the club twice offered a contract extension. The lack of response does not respect the club,” he said, adding: “We want to find a way out before Thursday. This is a clear position. It’s a question of respect for the club. We supported the player, we paid the lawyer’s fees and compensation to Watford, we allowed him to train. We want players who are in the project, who are fully committed.
