While he wanted to leave Stade Rennais to join Olympique Lyonnais, Nemanja Matic would now be heading to Besiktas.

Twist in the soap opera Nemanja Matic. Eager to leave Stade Rennais, where he is not fulfilled on a family level, the Serbian international’s priority was to join Olympique Lyonnais. But now he is getting closer to Turkey.

According to several local media, such as Sporarena or Hürriyet, Matic would be in contact with Besiktas. An arrival in Istanbul by the end of the week is even mentioned.

According to L’Equipe, however, the transfer is far from advanced. “There are many indirect discussions on the subject, but not yet between the two clubs”, specifies the daily. For Matic, it would either be a transfer or a termination of contract. Reintegration in Rennes is the third option, but today it seems the most improbable.
