Olympique de Marseille formalized this Wednesday the departure of Ronan Lodi for Saudi Arabia.

Six months and then gone. As expected, Ronan Lodi officially leaves OM to join the Saudi club Al-Hilal, the Marseille club announced this Wednesday. The Brazilian left-back has signed a three-year contract with the team where Neymar, Malcom, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Ruben Neves, Aleksandar Mitrovic and even Yassine Bounou and Kalidou Koulibaly are already playing.

Recruited for 13 million euros last summer by OM, Renan Lodi will bring 23 million euros to the Marseille club, according to Transfermarkt. A nice plus for a player who didn’t really convince in the sky and white colors. However, 30% of this amount will go to Atlético Madrid, who had negotiated a percentage on resale during his transfer to Marseille.

To replace him in the left lane of defense, the residents of the Vélodrome stadium have already formalized the arrival of Ulisses Garcia from BSC Young Boys. But another left side would be desired by Pablo Longoria and his teams. The name of Rennais Adrien Truffert has recently been circulating, but the Breton team is not selling.
