OM, a historic victory

Olympique de Marseille reached a symbolic milestone by dominating Stade Rennais (2-0) on Sunday at the end of the 14th day.

Olympique de Marseille was reassured on Sunday. Three days after its victory in added time against Ajax Amsterdam in the Europa League, the Olympian club won against Stade Rennais in Ligue 1 (2-0), thus ending a series of four matches without a victory in the league.

Thanks to this success, OM also preserved their invincibility at home, with now 7 wins and 3 draws in 10 matches played at the Vélodrome.

And this victory against Rennes has historical value since it is the 800^e Marseille’s home success in Ligue 1. A record in the French championship, OM ahead of Bordeaux (753) and Saint-Etienne (725).
