The English club Manchester United has made an important choice regarding the future of its French striker, Anthony Martial.
Manchester United are ready to sell Anthony Martial next January. The French international would thus leave Old Trafford after eight and a half years of good and loyal service.
End clap for Martial
According to the daily El Mundo Deportivo, the former Monegasque (27 years old) himself is looking for a change of scenery in order to find playing time. He has not managed to regain the trust of manager Erik ten Hag after being injured for much of the year.
Martial’s contract expires in June 2024, the club has an extension option but at the moment they do not seem willing to activate it. The trend is rather towards a definitive sale and the interested party is in favor of this scenario.
During his long stay at MU, Martial played 307 matches and scored 89 goals. In terms of matches played in the Mancunian jersey, the player trained in Lyon is 37e the most capped player in the club’s history. Among the Frenchies who passed through this institution, only Patrice Evra and Mickaël Silvestre did better.
