According to the Brazilian press, Neymar verbally and very virulently attacked the president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Ednaldo Rodrigues.
Neymar’s reunion with his selection was not easy this week. Firstly because Brazil did no better than a draw at home, against Venezuela (1-1), as part of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in the AmSouth zone. Then because when entering the locker room, the former PSG player took a packet of popcorn to the head. Also accused of having insulted a TV presenter, Neymar is now implicated in another story not much more glorious.
According to information from the show Super Radio Tupi and its journalist José Carlos Araujo, relayed this Sunday by Foot Mercato, the “Ney” would have had words with the boss of the CBF. President of the Brazilian football body, Ednaldo Rodrigues would have provoked the ire of the Auriverde star because he was not happy with the location chosen for the match against Venezuela. The meeting which took place at the Arena Pantanal, not far from Cuiaba should therefore have taken place elsewhere, according to Neymar.
CBF boss insulted?
The Brazilian media went much further by indicating that the player would have called Ednaldo Rodrigues “ son of a bitch“. Comments which, if they were confirmed, could have serious consequences for the former FC Barcelona and current player of the Saudi club Al-Hilal. Already little appreciated and regularly vilified by some of Brazil’s supporters, Neymar could have further tarnished his image. However, these latest accusations still need to be proven.
