FC Barcelona’s victory over Porto was far from a classic and both teams fought hard to secure the three points, which were ultimately won by the reigning La Liga champions.
However, the evening was far from perfect for Xavi Hernandez’s team.
Gavi was sent off late in the match for a second yellow card, but more worryingly Robert Lewandowski was forced off the field in the first half after suffering a blow to his ankle.
After the match, Lewandowski was seen limping at the Do Dragao stadium, despite not having crutches, which was a positive sign for Barcelona fans.
Multiple reports have since confirmed that the Poland international could be in contention to face Granada on Sunday despite the injury, showing it is not too serious.
Lewandowski has been a vital player for Barcelona since joining from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022, so it will be a big relief that his injury is not as serious as initially feared.
