The last days of this summer transfer window are still likely to be lively for PSG. After having recorded five new recruits (Longoni, Digne, Akliouche, Ferran Torres and Godts), the capital club is active in terms of departures, notably with those of Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye. The ex-Lyonnais has already agreed for several weeks on the terms of a contract with Liverpool, who want to strengthen on the wings after the free departure of Mohamed Salah and while Cody Gakpo is heading to Tottenham.
Earlier in the week, common ground between the Reds and Ibrahim Mbaye on a five-year contract was announced. Barred by the strong competition in attack in Paris, the native of Trappes looks very favorably on a departure from the Mersey side. The agreement with the player reached, Liverpool therefore began negotiations with PSG for the Senegalese international (15 caps). According to information from RMC Sportthe reigning double European champion club is however demanding a fortune from the Reds, namely between 70 and 80 million euros.

A basis for negotiation which has cooled other suitors, as well as Liverpool. Indeed, Liverpool’s sports management is not currently inclined to pay the sum set by PSG and evaluates Ibrahim Mbaye at 20 million euros less, or 50 million euros. Talks continue between the two clubs, while the transfer window will close on September 1 and Liverpool does not wish to exceed 60 million euros for Mbaye, who has two years of contract remaining.
At the same time, the English club is multiplying avenues. In addition to Barcola and Mbaye, the Reds have positioned themselves on Yankuba Minteh (Brighton). After making a first offer refused by the Seagulls, Liverpool have apparently sent a second offer to Brighton to the tune of 70 million euros. A proposal also refused. Less than ten days before the end of the transfer window, Liverpool are working everywhere to strengthen themselves. Meanwhile, Mbaye is waiting, while Titi did not take part in the European Super Cup against Aston Villa (2-1), nor in the Champions Trophy lost against Lens (1-0). Just like Barcola, he should not play a single minute with PSG until his future is resolved.
