The Confederation of African Football (CAF) made a big announcement this Wednesday.
There was no longer much suspense, it is now official: The 2025 African Cup of Nations will take place in Morocco. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) awarded the organization to a nation which distinguished itself with its epic run to the semi-final of the World Cup, in Qatar, last winter.
During a meeting in Cairo for an Executive Committee, CAF also looked at the next edition of this African Cup of Nations. After Morocco, three sub-Saharan African countries will co-organize the prestigious competition: Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
These three countries will host the CAN for the first time in their history, unlike Morocco, which had already organized the tournament in 1988.
