Neymar comes close to disaster

Neymar didn’t really shine for his first start with Al-Hilal on Monday, he could even have been sent off.

Party of Paris Saint Germain after a very eventful summer, Neymar made his debut with his new teamAl-Hilal Friday by coming into play for the last half hour against Al-Riyadh, thus participating in the party by delivering a first assist.

First failure for Neymar

Monday evening, the Brazilian international had his first start for his new club during the first day of the Asian Champions League against Navbahor Namangan, a club from Uzbekistan. But this meeting did not really go as planned, both individually and collectively.

While his team conceded the opener in the 52nd minute, the former Parisian showed signs of nervousness, particularly at the hour mark. While an opposing player tried to hinder him from taking a free kick , the Brazilian lost his cool by pushing him to the ground before shooting him. A bloodbath which only earned him a simple yellow card, but which could have had more serious consequences.

If Al-Hilal managed to equalize after added time (100th minute), this first start for Neymar will not be remembered. With 32 lost balls, no player did worse during this meeting.
