The UEFA president spoke of the situation of Russian clubs and teams, deprived of competition since the outbreak of war in Ukraine by the power in the Kremlin.

Russian clubs and national teams have been deprived of competition since the beginning of March 2022, a few days after their country launched its attack on Ukraine.
The International Federation (FIFA) had also recorded the exclusion of Russia, like the International Olympic Committee.
