The UEFA president spoke of the situation of Russian clubs and teams, deprived of competition since the outbreak of war in Ukraine by the power in the Kremlin.

Aleksander Ceferin’s words could hardly be clearer. Russia will remain excluded from football “ until the end of the conflict »indicated the president of the European Association Football Union (UEFA), in an interview with Slovenian media N1.

Russian clubs and national teams have been deprived of competition since the beginning of March 2022, a few days after their country launched its attack on Ukraine.

The International Federation (FIFA) had also recorded the exclusion of Russia, like the International Olympic Committee.
