The Slovak international would have liked to play with Neymar and Messi at PSG. However, he is not worried about their departures from the Rouge et Bleu.
During the international break, many Paris Saint-Germain players played with their selection. Milan Skriniar will even have the opportunity to meet several of his club teammates during the meeting scheduled for this evening between Slovakia and Portugal, as part of the Euro qualifiers.
In a pre-match press conference, the 28-year-old defender was asked about the departures of Messi and Neymar during the summer transfer window. “When I signed the contract with Paris, I had information that Messi probably wouldn’t stay. Neymar trained with us at the beginning, but then he decided to leave. That’s football”confided the former Inter Milan player.

Milan Skriniar would however have enjoyed playing alongside the two South American stars. “Of course, who wouldn’t want to play with footballers like Messi or Neymar? However, I think the club has made very good transfers and balanced its departures because the quality has arrived. I think it will work for us”, believes the Slovak international. He lost his captain’s armband at Inter last February, after refusing to extend his contract with the Italian club beyond June 2023 to join PSG on a free.
