OM supporters have not kept a great memory of it, but Luis Henrique could return to the Marseille club during the winter transfer window.

During the presentation of the latest recruit from Olympique de Marseille, Bamo Meité, Pablo Longoria took stock of the Marseille transfer window. Asked about possible absences during the African Cup of Nations, the president of OM then mentioned two possible reinforcements to come, in particular the return of Luis Henrique.

“The potential moves in this team is the return of Pape Gueye after his suspension. The other potential arrival is the return of Luis Henrique during the winter transfer window, he is doing great things in Brazil. It will depend on his number of matches, his playing time with Botafogo, it does not depend on OM. The purchase option is mandatory depending on the number of minutes played by December. Those are the only two moves imaginable in this squad.”the Spanish leader told reporters.

The 21-year-old Brazilian played two seasons for Marseille, from 2020 to 2022. In 49 matches in all competitions, he scored just one goal. Manuel Amoros then called him the worst Brazilian rookie in the history of the Marseille club.
