FC Barcelona could reserve a surprise in its group for the Clasico. According to the Spanish daily MARCAOrian Goren is among the candidates for a first call-up with the first team to face Real Madrid this Sunday. The 17-year-old Israeli midfielder already knows Hansi Flick, since he participated in the Blaugrana’s summer preparation and the Joan Gamper Trophy. He also trained on Friday and Saturday with the professional squad, on the eve of this major La Liga match.
Arriving at La Masia in 2023 from Maccabi Petah, Goren quickly progressed through the youth teams before establishing himself this season with Barça Atlètic, where he became a regular starter. His possible presence in the group would, however, depend on the physical situation of Dani Olmo. If Hansi Flick decides to retain him, the young talent could thus discover the first team in a particularly prestigious context, during a Clasico at the Santiago-Bernabéu.
