While the first period had been rather balanced at the Stadium, Santiago Hidalgo opened the scoring in added time. The Argentinian eliminated two Strasbourg residents before finishing from the left, at close range (1-0, 45th+1).
In the second half, Mark McKenzie made the break in favor of TéFéCé, with a header deflection shortly before the hour mark (2-0, 56th). Jens Berthel Askou’s men nevertheless saw their visitors come back to score, following a flat right foot from Giovanni Reyna (2-1, 67th).
Strasbourg without reaction
The suspense was only revived for a few minutes as Thomas Jörgensen allowed the Violets to regain a two-goal lead after a volley from the left (3-1, 76th). Following this victory, Toulouse temporarily climbed into the first half of the ranking. With thirteen points, the Ville Rose club is in tenth place in Ligue 1 and ahead of RC Strasbourg (13th) by three points on the clock.
