Despite a valuable success against Everton (2-0), Mikel Arteta left the Emirates Stadium with a certain frustration. After being held by Bayern Munich in the Champions League (2-2), Arsenal found their way to victory thanks to Ezri Konsa, scoring in the 7th minute from a corner, then Gabriel Magalhães, who made the break in the 68th minute on a cross from Ben White. The Gunners also took advantage of Manchester City’s setback against Aston Villa (2-1) to join the Citizens at the top of the Premier League, with 21 points after eight days. But this positive evening was marked by the anger of the Spanish coach, warned of a yellow card in the 64th minute for leaving his technical zone.

After the match, Arteta denounced what he saw as a lack of consistency in the application of the rules and claimed to have collected videos showing other coaches regularly exceeding the limits of their area without being sanctioned. “I’m going to install sensors on the sidelines!” Some coaches hold the championship record: 36 sidelines in 10 minutes… and no yellow cards! So I’m going to record everything. I now have a huge amount of images. If anyone claims they haven’t broken this record, they will hold it. We’ll see”launched the Arsenal technician. A muscular exit which testifies to his annoyance at refereeing decisions which he considers unequal, despite the good operation carried out by his team in the ranking.
