Present at a press conference on the eve of PSG’s trip to Le Havre (7 p.m.), Luis Enrique was questioned about Désiré Doué. The Spanish technician was full of praise for his young French international, while insisting on the need to keep his feet on the ground despite the hype surrounding him. “Normally, what a player of this level has to deal with most at this age is the noise around him. I know him and he is a player with incredible work capacity. He always wants to help the team. On the bench, he’s always the smileiest”explained the Parisian coach.
Luis Enrique also wanted to highlight the exemplary nature of his player, both on and off the field. “He’s a very pleasant player to watch for children, people who don’t watch football. I encourage him to remain humble and ambitious, because it is important to continue doing what he is doing.”he added. A message that is both laudatory and protective from the PSG coach, aware of the growing expectations around Désiré Doué, especially with the injuries to Dembélé and Kvara.
