This Friday evening, Paris Saint-Germain travels to Le Havre for the ninth day of Ligue 1 (7 p.m.). A meeting where Matvey Safonov will try to continue his momentum. The Russian goalkeeper remains on good performances in the Champions League and allowed the Ile-de-France residents to keep their goals clean against Olympique Lyonnais on Monday (2-0). At a press conference, Luis Enrique highlighted the Russian goalkeeper.
“ When he came, he had the challenge of performing well at a top club. He did everything well. He has adapted to what we are looking for in modern football. A team like ours needs a goalkeeper who plays in conjunction with the defensive line all the time. He is still improving. He is a courageous goalkeeper. It does everything we want it to do. I am very happy with him “, he said.
