Luis Enrique should not rotate his squad for PSG’s entry into the Champions League on Wednesday.

PSG launches its European campaign at the Parc des Princes this Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 9:00 p.m., by welcoming Slovan Bratislava for the first day of the league phase of the Champions League. For this decisive poster at the start of the season, Luis Enrique should field his best team.

While the Spanish technician could have been tempted to rotate his squad for the next rounds in Ligue 1, he should therefore rely on all or almost all of his strengths. In defense, if Warren Zaire-Emery should be preferred to Achraf Hakimi, captain Marquinhos will occupy the central axis alongside Willian Pacho, while Nuno Mendes will be aligned in the left lane.

In midfield, the hub will be hosted by Vitinha. The Portuguese should be supported by his compatriot João Neves and the Spanish international Fabián Ruiz. Up front, the attacking trio will look great: Ousmane Dembélé is expected to be up front, flanked by Ferran Torres and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on the wings.

The four-man defensive line should consist of Cesar Blackman on the right, a central hinge Kenan Bajric – Kevin Wimmer, and Samuel Kozlovský on the left side.

In the midfield, the double pivot formed by Cristian Martínez and Peter Pokorny will have a lot to do to close the spaces. A notch higher, creation will be entrusted to Rahim Ibrahim as leader, supported by Tigran Barseghyan and rookie Suleiman Camara. At the forefront of the attack, Slovenian international Andraz Sporar will be the reference for realizing the rare opportunities on the counter-attack.
